That is a great idea. No I do not think gridding and voxeling is simple.
It requires serious programming to do it properly (especially if you do not just cut the whole thing into cubes but you want to emply subgridding)
In any case please share any codes you found
ultrasound simulations
Hi everyone,
I have to look into creating a fullwave ultrasonic simulator (using either FDTD or FEM, hasn't been decided yet)
I was wondering whether anyone can direct me to any decent codes or literature that might help...
Also If possible I would like the following...
Hi people, Its me again...
It has been quite some time, I've finished with my thesis and by now I know quite a lot more about FDTD. But I can't find the time (already started on my PhD) to write the rest of the guide....
So once more, I call for people with FDTD knowledge which will propably...
gsm output power
Can you PLEASE direct me to any source that validates that? A book, a paper, an article anything PLZ
My advisor insists on the RMS thing and I need hard evidence to make him change his mind...
Thanks a million
gsm power levels
Hi everybody, I have an question regarding GSM phone power outputs.
From what I can understand a typical GSM900 phone radiates at a maximum of 2Watt and because of the TDMA usage the average maximum power level is 250mW.
For a GSM1800 phone the power levels are the half of...
I am afraid I have bad news, the FDTD wiki is propably dead :(
It seems no one has stepped up to add anything to it for months and as for myself it turns out I haven't got the time to maintain such a thing...So while it was a good idea and would have helped people that try to use FDTD this...
don't mention it. However it is a tedious job and time is scarce. It has been more than 2 months I couldn't get my hands on it and make any additions. So if you would like to contribute to the wiki or know someone who does go ahead :

People people...Seeing that this guide got quite a few comments it becomes obvious that it is worth the trouble...
However I haven't got the time right now to write more so ...
THIS GUIDE WILL BE CONTINUED AS A FDTD WIKI
Anyone is welcome to add his/her knowledge to this wiki. So if you're...
Well it is official people.
Instead of a .doc or .pdf guide I'm am going to start a wiki for the purpose of teaching FDTD programming.
This way anyone can easily access this knowledge and contribute on their own. For this idea I have to thank iyami.
The wiki is still at a nothing stage but I...
I say wow..this is completely beyond me and/or my knowledge in such matters.
I wouldn't know where to start or how to proceed. The only thing I did in this post was to dig up the criterion for the Bioheat equation and generalize the given formula for the generic case...
However I suppose that...
Well you're right. Time is of the essence and especially now I am nearing the exams and I haven't got the time for such a project.
I've snooped around for a few minutes and found that making a wiki isn't that difficult especially using Wikispaces where it is practically of trivial difficulty...
