Amplifier: small signal vs large signal :?:

Large signal means that voltage swings are entered into the non-linear portions.every system is linear upto some extent after that every sytem is work as non-linear system.

Amplifier: small signal vs large signal :?:

Hi to all Voltra Series analysis is always preferable for imd analysis, because when you used more than two sources than efficiency of Harmonic Balance is decreased drastically. So better way to do imd...

Amplifier: small signal vs large signal :?:

what are you answering is one of the impotant part of non-linear analysis ,that is called voltra series analysis. This is used for analysis of harmonics and intermodulation distrion products.

Amplifier: small signal vs large signal :?:

small signal is part of large signal.large signal is picesewise approximation of smallsignal.small signal means at a prticular current (e.g. idss/2,idss/5,idss/10 etc @ vds=5v),but large signal means from complete dc i-v ,not at particular current.

Amplifier: small signal vs large signal :?:

small signal means only fundamental frequency of the signal, but in case of large signal means fundamental+harmonics. small signal amplifiers are analyse on linear amplifier topology e.g. gain block, lna etc.large signal amplifiers are generaly power amplifiers, mixeres and oscillators.small...

Explanation of LNA parameters: IP3, P1dB and OP3

lna parameters i have designed 3.1-3.5 ghz lna through .7um mesfet technology. Noise figure is typically .83dB,gain is typically 18dB ,v.s.w.r is better than 1.8:1 at final design level.i want to reduce the noise figure. please give me some solution and comment about design.
