Thanks iukhan but I have already mentioned that magnetic ballast and starter arrangement has failed for me due to non availability of 110V starter.
If you know something about series connection using 36W electronic ballast please share.
Hi,
I am also searching for the same. I connected two 18W FL in series with 36W Magnetic Ballast but not able to find suitable 110V or PHILIPS S2 starter in local market in India and failed to lit both FL.
Masters your suggestions/tips are highly required
So far, I've found that electronic...
Thank you so much FvM :smile:

May I know why we put R3 parallel to R5 ?
Thank to everybody.
In Sallen-Key's Twin-T topology I used NE5534 and manually matched capacitors/resistors within 1% and utilized multi-turn pots for tunning. I am able to get -64 dB rejection. NE5534 is configured as voltage follower to give pass band unity gain.
After receiving parts I'll...
Active Filter Cookbook : Do you have soft copy ?
Well, currently I am able to achieve -45 dB deep notch without matched components (Resistors=5% Carbon and Caps=20% Polyester). The intended purpose of this filter is to extend sound card based spectrum analyzer's range.
Hi,
Can we practically achieve -60dB or more deep notch with state variable filter topology ?
Is the state variable notch depth also depends up on close matching of components like in Twin-T ?
Hi,
Today, I made some modifications in feedback loop and measured the THD again. Obviously THD+N figures are high for TL074CN. On coming Sunday (10-Apr-2011) I'll give NE5534 a try again.
TL074CN (Wien Bridge)
=================
Vout = 556mV (RMS)
FQ = 998.7 Hz
THD = 0.00065% - 0.00103%
Hi FvM/AudioGuru,
I tried but could not found OPA227/228 in our market. Yesterday, I built the circuit again using NE5534 (Philips) and Metal Film Resistors. The results were worse compared to previous TL074 results but this time there was no sign of hum.
I tried with and without compensation...
Hi,
I have Yamaha DS-XG PCI sound card also.
Today, I ran input (Line-In) connected to ground test on both sound cards using WaveSpectra v1.40E. Reports are attached.
Please suggest me which sound card should I use for THD measurement ?
Can we determine from reports the lowest measurable...
