How to check-in a cadence file (eg: "layout.oa" / 'schematic.oa") through unix terminal ?
I would like to check-in a cadence "layout.oa" file through unix terminal. What is the command for that ?
I tried with <<< dssc ci -new -co "......" layout.oa >>> but it's not working. Could anyone...
Hi All,
Domain: VLSI - Mask generation/ Analog Layout
Can anyone explain what is "mebes" & "Job deck". What is the exact difference between mebes data & job deck ?
Thanks in advance,

[m]What is the difference between "Damascene copper" interconnect and normal copper ?
Hi,
What is the difference between "Damascene copper metal interconnect and normal copper interconnect" ?
What are the advantages of using "Damascene copper" as a top level metal in VLSI chip design ...
Generally we do shield the signals (parallel shielding) both sides with VSS or VDD.
But, sometimes we do shielding the signal (parallel shielding) with one side VSS and other side with VDD, what are the advantages of this type of shielding ?
Thanks in advance

My doubt is related to general analog circuits (eg op-amps).
Why do we connect shield net to VSS/VDD generally ?
why don't we keep the shield net as a floating metal?
Normally we connect the shield lines to VSS or VDD. but what will happen if we do not connect the shield line to any net ? - ie,what will happen if we keep shield line as a floating net ?
I know one reason --- floating shield will create additional capacitance to the victim net -- i want to...
