Hi you're never going to get that sort of bandwidth with a patch. Have you considered other antennas? Have a look at Antenna Magus. You can export ready to run FEKO models of lots of different antennas. The Classroom version has 15 antennas and is free to Universities or academics. See www [dot]...
antenna design software
I have been using FEKO for the past 3 years and it works for me. Ive done patches, horns, helices etc. The latest suite includes a nice GUI in which you can create your antenna model. Go visit www.feko.info and have a look under applications/antenna placement.
