I think it's a better solution to send a command to your circuit using your web browser. Run a http server on your computer and connect to it using your web browser. Make a http form to capture the speed and send to a file, then that file will be able to be opened by matlab and send...

We solved the problem reinstalling HFSS 12. During the installation process you should mark an option (sorry, I don't remember which one) to enable Remote and Distributed Processing. It'll install the Ansoft RSM Service (which is part of Ansoft HPC, included in HFSS 12).
