Yes but once an antenna is fabricated Patch dimensions, permittivity, substrate height cannot be changed. So i need external controlling factor for tuning frequency of antenna. Looking for other options like slots, DGS, diode etc not sure which one would help.
I have designed 2x2 and 2x4 circular patch antenna arrays operating at 2.4GHz. To further improve antenna performance(gain) i have introduced air gap layer between substrate and ground plane. But that has shifted the resonant frequency towards right (between 3GHz to 3.5GHz). How do i reduce or...
Hi antenna_beginner, I am a beginner too. I am working on HFSS not CST, but i believe the design should be same even with different softwares. In Coaxial/Probe feeding technique we subtract or remove a circular slot from ground plane and create 3 cylinders(probe, pin, coax) and a...
Hi all, When we use air gap(between the dielectric substrate and ground plane) technique to enhance the antenna parameters we use height h= substrate height + air gap height for calculation of patch and feedline dimensions. What about the effective permittivity and wavelength? How to calculate...
