look what is the VCO frequency when charge pump of PLL is 0V and +5V,when the charge pump is 0V the VCO must reach lower frequency(in most case) if this occur this meen that you may have some software problems.

the answer is yes,one problem in switching transistor are parasitic capacitance,higher ft => lower parasitic capacitance.I think you know what happen with pulse when go through RC circuit.

this is for example in my last design of LPF-elliptic (cut off F=1.5GHz ),frequency shift between measurements and simulation was -10MHz for EM simulation (Zelan d IE3 D) and +40MHz for circuit simulation(Seren@de).The material is Rogers4003

I use this method too and everything is OK.I think that tanD = 0.025 for FR4 this is very important for insertion loss and slope of filter.

my advise is to make design from application note (BLF1820-90_2.pdf).There is enough tuning components that you can use to fit your requirement.For correct simulation PA you need nonlinear model look in @DS library for this LDMOS or search it on @DS website.

you can use interdigital tapped filter.This filter will fit your requirements.The best way to "design" filter is to use Filter synthesis software if you don't want to waste time on it.

in pic16 WDT is 8-bit counter where input is system MCU clock( you can divide MCU clock ), when overflow occur the RESET will be generate, you must clear WDT before overflow.However if you don't need WDT you can disable.
