    RFID reader & tags ...doubt

Hi, The tag frequency has to be within the range of the reader's frequency, then only it will be able to detect the tag.

RF and Microwaves - Do we use transmission line for the microwave transmissions..

Hi, Transmission lines are an important part in microwave frequency transmission. In terms of waveguides, it is itself a form of transmission line and functions at extremely high frequencies.

z in of antenna in cst

Hi, You can check by calculating port modes only to check the impedance. You can also check the return loss and if the value is at least below -10dB at your desired frequency, then the antenna is matched.

    Optimization of patch antenna

Hi, It will not be easy because if you want to optimize it in terms of dimension, you will need to change the original solid which you apply the command extrude. I suggest that you design your patch separately for easier optimization.

    height of the substrate

Hi, Yes, it is possible as long as it can fit into the sma connector. What substrate are you using ?

    Problem in S-parameter graph

Hi, Are you using a high lossy or a high dielectric substrate ? It could be the reason why your not getting a smooth drop at 10GHz.

Designing 8x1 Array in CST Microwave studio

Hi Hassan_ I don't mean to interrupt but the gain of the single patch can be improved if you used a less lossy material as a substrate compared to FR-4. FR-4 is a high lossy material. If your antenna is meant for long range, than you need a higher gain.

Problem - How do I place an antenna (components+port) near a voxel-Data-head? CST MW

If you look at the top of the CST interface, there is a section called "Mesh" in between the objects and solve. If you click on it, you will see 3 types of of orientation which is x plane, y plane and z plane. However I have not tried using this before. I would like to ask that when you...

What is demagnetization of a submarine??

hi,are you know that useful in underwater for demagnetize submarine or not? - - - Updated - - - according to the link posted by tpetar, the vessel is placed inside a special enclosure to avoid from interfering with the Earth's magnetic field. So the submarines are placed here as well for the...

What is demagnetization of a submarine??

Hi, I got it from wiki. Its called the Deperming process. It says that very heavy copper cables are wrapped around the structure and current as high as 4000 amps are injected to the cables therefore resetting the magnetic levels as suited to the environment. The process needs to be repeated...

    Fabrication material

Hi, the cost and also the flexibility in terms of fabrication both favours the FR-4. However there some advantages using hybrid of PTFE/FR-4 (multi-layer) as I found out in this link **broken link removed**

Problem - How do I place an antenna (components+port) near a voxel-Data-head? CST MW

Hi Haim, I'm not very sure of the problem that your facing but did you try to use the orientation of mesh plane ( x/y/z plane ) in the mesh section ?

Problem - How do I place an antenna (components+port) near a voxel-Data-head? CST MW

The port can't be moved ? Can you recreate the discrete port ?

Problem - How do I place an antenna (components+port) near a voxel-Data-head? CST MW

have you tried using CST Help ? Select shape and choose "Align…" Select face to align with Choose angle
