You have to change amplitude distribution of the slot array and chose the optimum one you need.
so you have 2 ways:
1. Changing length of the slots
2. Changing distance of the slots to the center of the waveguide.
Read something canonical about AR, like Hansen et al... Key words are uniform...
All you need is here **broken link removed** ....
Just find NXP_BLF6G21_10G_V0p10s_B4.s4p , extract it and use as simply S4P file... Yep, you'll be maybe missed original footprint and drawing, but at least you'll be able to simulate.
Re: Wanted: HFSS file format - Need to write a program to write file for HFSS to ****
lots of my projects have the same strings
really have no idea what does they mean, maybe it doesn't matter? :)
just copy them everywhere.
also the same strings can be found in adsn files, guess those strings...
Use file->save in simulation window.
Anyway, is there any helpful suggestions? I have similar problem with envelop simulation. Tried all ADS's advices...
Why simulators like HFSS and CST use (as a default) absolute convergence criterion not relative? I guess the last method could be more accurate because it for example can make difference between s11(n)=1, s11(n-1)=0.9 and s11(n)=0.2, s11(n-1)=0.1. In the first case relative error is 11% in the...
I see 3 possible solutions:
1. Use HFSS freq solver and split your wide band on some narrow bands. With the ratio hi freq/low freq =2 it should be OK.
2. Use fdtd, CST MWS, XFDTD or something.
3. Use hfss 13 it has implemented transient solver inside.
transient solution is а new type of solutions, like eigenmode or driven terminal.
As I see, the most significant difference with the older version are new solution type, multithreaded post processing and of course ruler in the bottom of workspace. :)
Also I noticed long time loading of v12...
You are talking about resonant slot, i.e. slot length is about half of free space lambda. It is well known and I guess there is nothing to get... Another thing is non resonant slot and systems of them. It is not traditional slotted antenna, it requires heavy numerical modelling, but for winglj I...
Try to short-circuit waveguide instead of use of matched load. You can also try to use long slot or combination of them. I saw(did) many researches about slotted waveguides, everything is possible.. :-)
I use "RadiatedPower" for efficiency estimation. If your antenna is excited by 1W you'll get part of radiated outside the air box power including ALL losses within the confines of the calculation domain in %.
PS: Results->Crate far fied plot->Antenna params->RadiatedPower
Is it possible? I didn't find how to export mesh geometry from xfdtd, only solids could be exported..
Any way, if you finished this work a lot of people will be very happy! :-)
