I have a comparator (LM741 op amp) that flips between 0v and 12Vdc depending on weather the thermistor voltage drop is greater than potential divider. Comparator output flips to +12vDC when the temperature is > 90 degrees Celsius.
This then turns on a Relay.

What is the most effieient way to count pulses to conserve battery power is it:
sleep, interrupt on pin change, increment register, go back to sleep.

I need to count pulses generated externally but want to do this while the microchip micro is asleeep to conserve battery use, (i guess i need to use the external clock source TC'X'K pin in asyncronous mode).
so far I am lerning that Microchip provide only 1 externally clockable timer...
