Gaussian Beam question
Does anybody know the relationship between the Half Power Beam Width and 1/e beamwidth? Is there any reference where I can find the answer?

I want to use the TC (or maybe another) output of a counter in order to have a pulse of about 10 nsec duration.The clock should be a 50 MHz signal.The problem is that in most counters the TC output is subject to decoding spikes.
Does anybody have any idea of a suitable counter?
I am working on a project which involves producing an RF pulse of about 5-10 nsec duration.The carrier frequency should be about 2-3 GHz.What kind of switch should I use?How should I drive it?Has anybody got any ideas or made anything similar that works fine?
