    [SOLVED] E-C drain optocoupler

Hello everybody, According to the attachment diagram, I want to completely separate a 5.4V power supply using an optocoupler regarding load . I extracted from a more complex scheme only the incriminated circuits and tested. When I energize firmly the relay it appears on the load R = 150 ohms an...

order of magnitude bias for the diode mixer

Indeed, the output impedance is very small. If I do not get wrong input impedance increases. I've reviewed the mixer and it seems like I was wrong about the bias injection. Between the bias point of mixer block and the cathode of the diode can measure 1045 Ohm. I mounted a BAT15-03WE diode in...

order of magnitude bias for the diode mixer

Meanwhile, I replaced the mixer diode with a B-E junction from a Ge transistor. Measured on the DVM diode indicates 150mV. So it means 1mA per junction is 150mV drop voltage . This junction mounted in place of the original 1N76C diode receives bias as follows: 10Mhz-1,8Ghz ........... 175mV /...

order of magnitude bias for the diode mixer

I want to replace a 1N78C diode with one of BAT15-03W or SMS7630-079LF in a mixer. This mixer has bias settings for more frequencies. I would like to know what bias current I need for these Schottky diodes. Since the original diode was melted I have no idea about the magnitude of this bias. Is...

    PLL from old Spectrum Analyser

Dear colleagues, I want to fix the PLL from the attachment. It is from an SA at the beginning of the 80's. On the top right of the diagram, see the RF input signal from YIG sweep between 2 and 4.1Ghz. I encounter difficulties in understanding this system. 1. A phase comparison is made between RF...

Transform voltage level at OA output TLE 2141.

It seems to be definitive with the TL081. After several hours of operation it did not deviate from the output by more than 3-4mV at 100mV with 50ohm terminator on the input . Anyway there is some noise on the output. I went from a SI5351(10,7Mhz), a 3P pole BPF filter on 10Mhz hand made and then...

Transform voltage level at OA output TLE 2141.

Dear friends thank you for your attention. The schematic diagram is at http://www.dc4ku.darc.de/S_Meter.pdf Bild (fig.) nr 4 . The original TL081 works just like in documentation. Why does not it work with TLE2141? Any voltage (+/-) or balance applied to pins 1 and 5 or in turn does not...

Transform voltage level at OA output TLE 2141.

I have a follower with TLE2141 that receives at IN + a continuous voltage from AD8307. The power supply is +/- 5V. Without signal at output 6 of TLE 2141 we have 220mV. How do I make 100mV in this case keeping unit amplification? The voltage variation is 220-1330mV with signal and everything is...

    Shielded attenuator box

I really want to make a set for my lab. It seems like I do not really find the BW series at a good price in Europe. How about jyebao.tw. I found on ebay in UK a shop ( rfshopuk) from which I could take a set (3,6,10,20 db) up to 10GHZ. The problem is that I need exactly between 10 and 10.5Ghz.

    Shielded attenuator box

The manufacturer offers a microstrip drawing only. Even so the pcb thickness must be 0.254mm. It's not my knowledge to make a calculation for CPW. Now I think attenuators over 6GHZ are very expensive because they are CPW.

    Shielded attenuator box

Look for a diagram or an example for a metallic box in which to mount a YAT SERIES attenuator from MINI-CIRCUITS . I understand that making PCBs is crucial, but I do not know how to make a shielded box and how to mount an absorbent layer. I want to make a 3,6,10,20dB set for 10GHZ.

    [SOLVED] Impedance matching question

I understand what I need to mount the microstrip line after the amplifier. I just jumped from HF to SHF and things are more than strange. It is unclear to me if I can display a link to a page of a ham to ask some questions about a stabilized oscillator at 10Ghz. I built this oscillator and I'm...

Reason behind short circuit in SMPS primary side

It is understood that after each repair it worked for a while. In cases of repeated defects, all soldering must be checked with a magnifying glass . In the transistor's drain there is a group of components including one or two capacitors. These caps must be carefully measured or better replaced...

    [SOLVED] Impedance matching question

Unfortunately, I have no device over 4.4 GHz. Under this frequency, all SMAs seem to have similar attenuation.
