i'm also working on compatibility of CC1101 (acting as Recv) with another RF chip the Si4432 (acting as Transmitter only)
i've managed to get RF carrier detection but still working on the correct data issues
bytway i used syncword 0xD391 & a low data rate

i'm currently devp around a few CC1101 , so if you want that i check some regs on my side so you can compare to yours for ex see if the chip versions are different etc no pblem just let me know
may i ask did you find why in your case using RF settings taken from app examples it was not...
