I have used solution type as "driven modal", it gives S-parameters, neither the mode conversion details, nor actual power coupled to the higher order from fundamental one. Not sure about transient analysis.
Thanks cwin; You are right, that way I'll get the S-parameter between two poerts of required modes. Now my problem is little different. Suppose a step transition in circular w/g and thus it is converting from dominant TE11, TE11* mode to TE11, TE11*, TM01, TE21 & TE21*. If I give input power of...
In a mode converter when higher order mode is generated from fundamental dominant mode, some of the power will be coupled to to higher order mode. Is it possible to simulate and observe the amount of power coupled to higher order mode using HFSS? I am designing a TE11 to TE21 mode converter and...
Using a number of segments in cylindrical model, HFSS takes lots of memory. Thus a single model using for optimization and simulation may not be possible. Or may be alternate so that simulation model can be used for fabrication. Thanks
When we make two intersecting circular sheets (or cylinders) with 'number of segments' as '0' for making perfect circles (or cylinders) and subtract one from other, with 'clone tool object before operation' checked, we can see gaps between those two. Thus when such geometries exported as .stp...
Dear All,
I am trying to analyze the A-sandwich radome in HFSS.
Please find the attachment for hfss model for the A-sandwich radome.
I am getting the expected results for normal incidence only, but not with oblique incidence.
It is required to find the insertion loss (also in terms of...
how to plot radiation pattern
hi everybody,
can anybody expalin how to make 3D polar radiation pattern in matlab?
I am using UV plot where with mesh(x,y,z) command
x=sin(theta)cos(phi)
y=sin(theta)sin(phi)
ans
z=calculated gain
all are NxN square matrix
But I want to plot in polar form
Thanks
balun 1:6
I want to design Yagi antenna near 50 MHz with 300 Ohm impedance and matching with a 1:6 coax balun. But I dont know the balun design (1:6).
Can anybody send me the theory behind it?
Thanks
Dear all,
I created GUI with MATLAB and made .exe file. but i lost the original .m files. If I want to modify the GUI, how to do it? Is it possible to recover the .m files from .exe files; or re write the programs?
Thanks
Circular array
I have doubt about your bandwidth like 100-480 MHz
Even single dipole also cannot work in the large bandwidth as specified. Are you using reflector antenna or array of lambda/2 dipole?
