How to Make an Open Microstrip Longer

Hi, I need to make an open stub longer on a microstrip matching network made on Rogers R4000 laminate. Any ideas?

Encounter Issue: sroute cannot connect two power pins

I made a pad ring around each blocks to make it simpler for sroute to connect to. It didn't work though. After giving up with sroute, I decided to connect the two pins using addStripe instead. However, the stripes don't connect to the rings even though the LEFs don't have any obstruction on any...

Encounter Issue: sroute cannot connect two power pins

I am doing a P&R with two custom LEF files. Both these LEF files have a special power pin called MYPOWER that are connected in the encounter as follows: globalNetConnect MYPOWER -type pgpin -pin MYPOWER -inst INST1 globalNetConnect MYPOWER -type pgpin -pin MYPOWER -inst INST2...

Running LVS on a block with no schematic View in Cadence

I am trying to run lvs on a schematic with an instance of a block which does not have schematic view. It has layout+symbol views. However, the schematic is in a .cdl file. Looks like cadence cannot generate the schematic netlist because : "Missing or incorrecto master.tag in library...

HFSS giving wrong solutions half the time

My geometry consists of two thin-sheet coils(mm-sized) buried in dielectrics that are separated far from each other(1cm+). I tried specifying some mesh operations to help it in meshing the structure, but it still gave me the same error.

HFSS giving wrong solutions half the time

OK, now it doesn't simulate at all. Can you tell me how I can overcome the following: "Surface Recovery failure Possible reasons : (1) . model has multiple objects with thin layers (2) complex model with object overlapping (3)" True surfaces are skewed " Hassan

how can i get c-v curve for mos cap and mim cap

1-fF is a really small cap in those processes. Your logic cap and more importantly wire caps are in the same order. So, make sure you don't lose tunability

HFSS giving wrong solutions half the time

with an airvolume width of 2cm: separation = 0.5cm ->OK separation = 1.5cm ->OK separation = 4.5cm ->Does not even simulate, it encounters some problem while meshing and says it might be because of skewed thin surfaces Increasing airvolume width to 1meter does not help at all

HFSS giving wrong solutions half the time

I've used hfss to simulate an on-chip inductive coupling link at 433MHz. Everything was perfect and the results were close to the values I got from ASITIC. I saved separation as a design parameter and changed that from 1cm-10cm accordingly and everything looked fine in 3D view. However, when I...

Positive Phase Noise in Spectre PSS

Hi all, I've been trying to simulate a simple differential LC oscillator, the one that is explained in Spectre PSS tutorial. However, it gives me positive phase noise at low frequency offsets(~ +50dBc@10Hz), (it gives acceptable negative phase noises for high frequency offsets: -130dBc@1MHz...
