i am designing line following robot using pic16f877a.
the problem i faced is with input-output ports.
the output from sensor is 5v which is given to port D of muc.but due to internal voltage drop this 5v input is not processed by muc.
one solution i got is using external resistor chip...

what are the advantages of using pic over 8051?apart from adding application like obstacle detection what else we can do with line following robot using pic?
