IAR: support c++ and have nice lib the most power of IAR is BEST optimize compile(generate 15% executable cod of winAVR)
is also vey more simple for dubug and simulate in compare winAVR

what micro you use ?
this can occurs from your input signal or also power supply or bad data read (if is double byte you must make sure you resolve DUMMY READ)

but in tomorrow ...hard answer
but do very same ! many micro ... any day have more peripheral HARD IO and more DMA
and FPGAs have more fix block ,,,,, then in tomorrow can have both them !
you can see many fpga have internal powerful...

we use normal opamp (for Ex LF356)with simple complementary NPN PNP output buffer when need higher current in out is simple and low cost ,,,,
but now i need Hi current (3A) and hi voltage (± 50V) output without high voltage opamp ...
seem i need one stage before output buffer for boost...
