how media gateway reduces burden in the MSC ?

Hi zhi_yi, The first supplier (vendor) in the market is Ericsson when it comes to market share and technology leadership. Then comes NSN (Nokia Siemens Networks) in second place then Huawei from China in third place as per 2009-Q4 reports. Softswitch Solution is available in Fixed (Wireline)...

MATLAB to automatically create a wireless network.

Hi ellobazo, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is different than the Cellular Networks as I mentioned earlier. A WSN is composed of a large number of sensor nodes that communicate using a wireless medium (air). The sensor nodes are deployed randomly in the environment to be monitored. The sensor...

MATLAB to automatically create a wireless network.

Hi ellobazo, Unfortunately, I don't have much experience with the GUI. I'm programming in my project with Matlab but using no GUI. I'm simulating Wireless Sensor Networks which is different in operations than the Cellular Networks as it uses multi-hop communication with no base stations. Sorry.

how media gateway reduces burden in the MSC ?

Hi desperado1, It reduces burden in the MSC by moving the switching capabilities to the MGw. The overall solution (Sofswitch) has a lot of benefits. I'm specialized in this area; let me know if you need more details.

The comparison between Cisco and Juniper

Re: cisco vs juniper Hi zhi_yi, I would propose an answer only for the last part of your question "Why should we pay so much for Cisco certification?" I believe it is because with Cisco certification you can easily get a good job because you are demonstrating a basic level of IP competence...

MATLAB to automatically create a wireless network.

Hi ellobazo, What do you mean by "to move it around"? Do you want something with a graphical user interface? I'm currently working on a project where I randomly place nodes in a two-dimentions space. It's useful in Wireless Sensor Networks simulations. Let me know if this is useful and I can...

Need a brief project idea for my MSc.

Hi maxx_me82, You can look for Routing Algorithms in Wireless Sensor Networks. It's a hot research area with challenging in reducing energy costs and increasing the network lifetime. Good Luck

    Steiner Tree Problem in Networks

steiner problem in networks: a survey Hi, I'm looking for any resources desribing the basics of Steiner Tree Problem in Networks. I'm also looking for the paper: P. Winter, "Steiner Problem in Networks: A Survey," Networks, vol. 17, Summer 1987. pp. 129-67. Thanks !

How can a serial interface be faster than a parallel one?

Serial vs Parallel. Hi, I'm wondering how could a serial interface be faster than a parallel one. For example, the USB 2.0 supports a high speed of 480Mb/s which is much faster than the Parallel port transfer rate, although logically transfering the data in parallel should be faster than in...
