First you have to read the voltage thats consumed by the load. The voltage will be in the AC form. you have to convert to DC and also you have to reduce the voltage in a form which is suitable for the microcontroller to read..just mail ur requirements.. I will share all the details that i have...
First to check the SIM900 module, type AT then hit enter key. It will reply OK.
For sending sms,
AT+CMGF=1 >>Enter
AT+CMGS="xxxxxxxxxxxx" >>Enter
The modem will reply with the symbol '>'
Then type the message then ctrl+z
thats all
Actually the BC547 is enough to drive the relay. It simply grounds the relay pin to provide a closed circuit. I will always use the bc547 to switch the relays
