i was learning the gsm module for last few days.i got the point that while CALL,we sent burst of 4.615msec each containing 8 time slots.only one slot is used by a user(consumes burst current ~2A).for remaining time,the module consumes typical call current(~200mA).
i need to know the how sms...
i need to know the current consumption profile of general GSM module
i.e. different processes and their corresponding current consumption lyk call current,idle current.

intel motherboard guide states that if we press the poweron switch for less than 5 seconds,it turns on.if we press for more than 5 seconds,it turns off.how this works?
