    Multimeter Negative Bias

I guess it is full, I have tree batteries and all gave the same reading ...

    Multimeter Negative Bias

My multimeter, DT830B Digital Multimeter, is giving a negative average of -3 volts by default that means that even without connecting the leads it reads a negative number. The only part of the multimeter that dosen't appear to have the bias is the ohms reading ... When I connect it to a 9 volts...

    Simple Power suply (burned)

Thanks for the worries! I don't mind the "abrasive corrections",you guys have the experience not me, so I should take the advice in extreme consideration. But some times, due to lack of parts, and of different power supplies to work with, the project sounded like a good idea. But I will...

    Simple Power suply (burned)

I made a second power supply with new capacitor and using just one diode, it did work! But I am too afraid to use it, as it sounds awful  haha It wasn't a mistake on the drawing! What you said about the 220v line in the 120v transformer could explain the weird sounds and why my...

    Simple Power suply (burned)

Yeah, it was a mistake, next time i wil record every detail before presenting it here :) The noise that i heard indicated that the transformer could be also backwards, so i will test him also to see if it is was not inverted and also not burned. Thanks!

    Simple Power suply (burned)

Inductor? I guess i made a mistake on the symbols, that supposed to be a resistor with 1K ohm haha sorry

    Simple Power suply (burned)

I just took it apart, as it was already fried, but i guess that i should have had a better picture of it, because i cant confirm if diodes were in the wrong order as you said. But maybe that was really the problem ! thanks for the help ! I tried to make a simple connection with just one, new...

    Simple Power suply (burned)

I tried to make a simple power supply with some components that I had lying around, and it just began to make some weird noises, that ended up burning two of the diodes that made up the full-wave rectifier ( using the 4 diodes ). I do not have much experience yet so I could have done some...
