1. write own one which is a very tuff task envolved with a lot of hacking
2. use TI`s drivers but trough debugger which catch the exeptions and then redirect the data to your...

it is not posible to use FTDI chip as a parallel port for XDS510PP because spectrumdigital`s drivers do not use parallel port driver . the use .dll which address directly the parallel port and some giveio like driver...

I have the same problem with the local variables .. they didn`t update corectly with the program flow in the watch window .. I use Code Composer 4.12 .. it may be bug also in CCS 1.20

if you are using CCS 2.x perform Debug -> Go Main from the main menu.
you can also set it to go every time you load the program trough main menu Option -> Customize, Debug Proprietis tab and select Perform Go Main automaticly

You can try out the examples from Philips .. they are in sub directories, they are 3-4 .. or you may ask in USB developers forum w*w.usb.org .. there are some other exapmle projects from Intel ..

Thanks for your help .. but I was meaning free ICD debugger especialy for PIC18F .. i have indsalet ICD from CCS but it is so confusing .. I don`t know which file is loadet first then which one second .. so i`m stuck right here .. ( i use 20MHz quartz) ..
