Thanks jpanhalt. I do have a batch of 20 c-size batteries on the way that are rated at 9,500 mAh. I'll see if they live up to expectations. I would hate to go back to lead acid.
I bought an electric scooter used. The lead-acid batteries it came with were dead. I decided to try to replace them NIMH batteries. The old pack consisted of 2 12V 12Ah batteries. I bought 16 3,000 mAh NIMH AA batteries off eBay.
Based on these numbers, my new pack should work even better than...
