SILK SCREEN - It is nothing but a layer which uses names, outline and symbols for the components that are used on top and bottom side of the PCB.
SOLDER MASK - It is a coating which prevents solder wetting during manufacturing. On a finished Pcb it protects traces from physical damage...

1) If u want an object to float in the air, then fill it wit Hydrogen gas or create vaccum.

If you are insisting on easy language, then start from basics or local authors which covers only selected topics.
