Hi all,
What could be the reason for Resistor failure during/after the BCI test?
Resistor: SMD 47ohm 5% 0.4W 0805
BCI severity level: 130mA
Supply voltage; 5V
As per the formula, Power = Voltage x Current
= 5 x 0.13 = 0.65W, which is more than the specification of Resistors.
Is my...
Thanks for your reply.
Could you please tell me how to add active components in the 3D simulation?
I tried with SPICE model interfacing with 3D model [schematic]. It gives me the results.
But for all the active components, SPICE model is not available in the manufacturer site.
Adding...
Hi all,
I am working on CST simulation of PCB and I want to perform EMI simulation. So far did,
- Generated ODB files from Altium and imported to CST.
- Passive components are already imported as lumped elements.
- Added the discrete port for excitation.
My question is,
1) There are few ICs...
Hi all,
We are facing an issue in our display segment. Issue is after placing the display inside the enclosure (with PCB), some of the segments are not working in some boards.
Note: Before placing inside the enclosure, displays are fine and working.
Attached an image of similar display...
Hi all,
Our Company looking for a Firmware Developer for our current project. Whoever has experience in communication protocol SPI,I2C,USB etc and LCD board bring up are suitable for this job. Interested one please reply to this.
Location: Bangalore, India.
Experience: Above 2 years.
Thank you.
Thanks KlausST.
Seems this regulator won't make any trouble. Min. Input voltage is 2V and Resistor range also fine (mentioned in datasheet, R2 range must be between 10K to 200K).

In our case the consumption will be very small. nano-Amps to micro-Amps .
Hi,
I have a doubt regarding a boost regulator using in our schematic. Converter output voltage is 3.6V. This voltage is for OLED.
My doubts are:
1. Whether this converter (NCP1406) is suitable for coin cell battery application. Battery voltage:3V
2. Voltage divider resistor values are high...
Hi,
I've few doubts related loop antenna simulation in HFSS.
1. While simulating antenna, full PCB layout is required? Most of the example showing just the antenna (without layout). If we simulate antenna alone, what will happen if we add full layout? Will the performance change or same?
2...
Hi,
I'm just stuck my PCB design work due to a problem. The problem is circuit has one OLED display of 14 number of pins. The pitch of the contact is 0.7mm. So far I didn't find any 0.7mm pitch FFC/FPC connector for OLED display. I'm just clueless how to fix this problem. If there is any...
Hi,
Usually, when we manufacture a PCB, we will send 2 types of folders ones is Gerber folders and another one is NC Drill folders. NC Drill folders includes these types of files.
a ) .DRR
b ) .LDP
c ) .TXT
Thanks
Hi HTA,
thanks for your reply.
For testing we fixed sensor on scooter tire. When tire starts rotating sensor should detect and wake up uC. But currently this is not happening.
Mean while when we touch the shock sensor or if we put it on table(1-2cm height), uC will wake up. We tested with max...
Hi all,
I have a doubt regarding shock sensor. For rotational motion detection shock sensor is suitable? Our application is automotive (TPMS).
So far we did lot of test with different sensitivity. Almost all the test result showed us that it working only in vibration/shock.
We are using...
Hi,
I have a simple question related to coin cell battery.
I was testing our circuit with different vendor batteries. Specifications of both batteries are same (Volt:3V and capacity:345mAh). While testing I observed one thing, Avg. current of circuit is different in batteries. Our circuit...
