blaupunkt calgary manual
Can you help me?
I need the schematic and/or service information on the car radio Blaupunkt Calgary CD30. Any other Blaupunkt Calgary probably would help also.
Thank you

Great explanation Alex.
My two cents:
Many young bright students of the art of electrical engineering have been ignoring the "ANALOG" world, equating it with old fashioned, primitive, passe', etc.
Not so fast digital geniuses! Back to physical basics.
The spectrum of usable frequencies in the...
Soryy for the delay. I was traveling ...
Yes. It works well in those frequencies too. I tried it as low as 5 MHz and it performed as well as at 100MHz.
There's no "closed form" formula to quantize the improvement over antenna separation.
From the ITT Radio Designer's Handbook real world tests have shown that the peak of improvement is about 10 wavelengths. The point of diminushing returns.

RFsystem,
Your idea sounds interesting.
Where can I learn more about DECT ?
If your idea works, it would be possible to have a 16 bit 44 Ks/s
wireless mic. (add diversity to minimize multipath conditions).
I worry about real-time performance.
Will there be a delay due to processing ?
Thanks

Technical help from members
Bobcat1, Gakusei and Circuit_Seller.
I'm reading and following your many links/suggestions.
Very useful, indeed.
The first quick'n dirty experiment "to get a feel" for the problems, using
Analog Devices's AD8302 works. Good chip with mag and phase detectors,

RAYENGINE,
AS you've noticed there's a lot of diversity of ideas about antenna diversity.
From ITT's Reference for Radio Engineers:
I thas been shown that if two or more high-frequency radio channels are sufficiently separated in SPACE, FREQUENCY, ANGLE of arrival, TIME, or POLARIZATION...

Addition. If you read the article you'll understand.
For the "heavy knob" the author built, you can also use the flywheel found
in old radios, or in cassette recorders.

Audio delay
As elektrodians suggested, there are many ways to do your project.
Key words: bucket brigade, analog delay line, ...
If you need high quality go 16 bit A/D , FIFO, D/A. Complex.
For medium quality use the much simpler analog delay line.
Those are used in guitar pedal effects...

input for your project ideas:
One commercial medical ultrasound apparatus uses 14 bit A/D converter to
digitize the echo and then hi speed DSP to do the analysis.
That's essentially a DSP version of "zero IF" conversion.
Nice thread

Higher Order Loops Improve Phase Noise ......
RF people,
I am trying to design a Network Analyzer.
Questions :
What detectors?
Analog Devices log amps ?
What signal source?
Use DDS (direct digital synthesis) ?
Use oscilloscope for display?
or computer display?
Or provision for both?
Software ?
Thank you for ANY suggestions
