help for grad education in germany

hi Iam plannin to do my grad from univ of bremen. Can a foreign student do part time work.If so what are the restrictions and of course the possibilities. Any details on funding also would be appreciated.

What is the advantage of using circular polarized antenna rather than vertical one?

Polarization hi The adv of Oly pol ant is that one can reciev inany orientation of the antenna owing to the elec field being along a circle. Also as suggested one can recive orthogonal pols but only at half power.

Feedback about TICRA GRASP9 for parabolic reflectors...?

grasp9 download po Dear Atul This is the best software around for the analysis of reflctr antennas .I have not personally used it but my colleagues have. The analysis and fabricated ones closely match. Also CHAMP is another software by ticra for analysis of horn antennas

why do we need four maxwells equation?

To make life a bit easier....a vector is completely specified if ad only if two parameters of the vector are known....find that and mathematically you are there.Intuitively lets resort to dkace way..... A vector is just not any other " variable"

    Understanding HFSS Memory Usage

hfss memory hi Is this message a warning or cant the simln be run. I have come across such messages but could simulate.thepoint to be noted here is that the aspect ratio is very high..that is you have avery small structure and a larger one.Since the problem is multi mode there would be a lot of...

Suggestions on accessible books about antennas

antenna book Try elliot: Antenna theory. But start with krauss,to learn antenna engineering. The historical previews are eally inspiring

    convolution of unit step signals

convolution unit step a triangular one...to see it intuitively, recognize that the same amount is added/subtracted for any unit time interval...hence the slope shouldbe the same or we get a rising line and then a falling one

How can i have a non inverting op amp circuit with a gain of

is ther a restriction in the value of resisitors. That was one of the fav questions of profs...where in a high gain reqrmnt is given and one is asked to design the amp with restrcn in values of resistors. The feedback should be lowered by a T divider configuration

Looking for some information about EMI

Re: EMI adding to the above points a way to circumvent radn in ckts with traces is to use high dielectric constant substrates. This would result in less radiative interference as the waves are tightly bound to the media.

Hi pouchito Do you have the manual to this book

Anyone can recommend good papers about THz antenna, thanks

a good starting point would be the book antennas ( latest edn) by Krauss. He has illustrated and also provided a lot of references to the same

waveguide discontinuity problem : step in width

hi I would not be able to solve the problem but its a typical mode matching problem. There is a book called field theory of waveguide components, Artech House; authors include bornemann of Univ of Victoria.Certain canonical problems are explained in it.A search on IEEE, on papers by Prof...

Feed location of rectangular microstrip antenna in microstrip feed line technic

microstrip antennas Its there in balanis, also in the book by girish kumar..Its a sine square function.I dont know it off hand

    Co-Polarized and Cross-Polarized radiation plot

Dear faiad One should know, in what direction the co pol and cross pol of the antenna is. It would be helpful for one to visualise if the axis of the antenna is algned along the Z axis of the coordinate system. Now for the procedure. 1)One should first enclose the entire structure or that part...
