I think you were reading about ASIP (with a 'P') technology, where you generate a processor, that is tuned to your algorithm, written in C. A long time ago, I used Target and OptimoDE (now ARM I think). ASIP - application specific integrated processor.
It effectively generates everything...

I have downloaded Synopsys saed 28/32 technology file, but the archives (5 in total) come with many many *.db files. Why one should be considered as a technology file (.db) ?
Any tips on how to use it is welcome !

I have successfully downloaded Synopsys 28/32nm educational library, but I have not managed to make it work (in design compiler). [Where are the target library files ? I don't understand how it is organized ? It is a mess !]
