Hi, thank you for your suggestions. I found out what wa the problem for the overshooting/ringing. It was the deadtime generated from the RC Xor gate network. I changed the circuit to a resistor diode capacitor circuit and it helped a lot. I'm having some more problems, the low side output...
Hi,
I have designed and tested a class d amp. I have problems with ringing and spikes, I don't think it is overshoot because I have dead-time. I am designing for an H bridge but I tested with a half-bridge first. The output of the MOSFETs are shown in the image. Same output with the driver...
Thank you all for your replies but if I decide to keep the current under 1A using a bench power supply HY3002-3, will this be a way to test my circuit?
Yes, the breadboard and perfboard have space for the heat sink but can the breadboard gets be done with such high currents? I am looking for a way to test the MOSFETs section, I already got the driver to output a signal.
Also, I have external deadtime will there still be heating problems?
Hi all,
I have a question and a few concerns. I currently building a class amplifier for bass frequencies. the switching frequency is 30 kHz. My problem is that I am testing my amplifier on a breadboard which is rated at 1A. The Mosfets rail voltage is 28v and I need a output current of 7A for...
Hi, I am trying to to get my HIP4081a gate driver to work with my class d pwm complementary outputs. I am powering the drive with +12 volts and using a 0.47uF and IN5817 for the bootstrapping circuit. When I check the output there is just a noisy sine wave and not a square wave of 0 -10v. Can...
