In the X-band system, I would like to guess the size of phase arrary antenna. Assuming the 42dBi, how many radiator do I need to achieve 42dBi gain? What is the array size?
Hello enjunear,
I found you the thread of RF pin diode switch design & parts.
Would you comment my topic as follows?
When defining power handling capability of Tx/Rx switch module, what is the specification?
For example, peak power= 100W, Pulse width = 20uS, Pulse Repetition Rate =5kHz...
When defining power handling capability of Tx/Rx switch module, what is the specification?
For example, peak power= 100W, Pulse width = 20uS, Pulse Repetition Rate =5kHz, mutiply pulse width by pulse repetition rate to get duty cycle. Duty will be 10%.
So,when I describe the power handling...
Bandwidth will be 500MHz at the X band, it also need high isolation. In case of that, If I have to use the first schematic, it is difficult to find the device at the moment.
biff44, thank again.
If I want to use another PIN diode instead of MACOm, which specification is most important for this frequency band? And one more thing, if I would like to use for high power, for example 50W, which factor is most important to select the device?
biff44, thank you so much for your information.
Would you let me know how 60mA comes out for isolation path in detail ? Is that current is norminal for every PIN diode when it is forward biased?
Thanks in advance
Hello everyone..
I would like to design the SPDT which is used for Tx and Rx switching at the X band.
The isolation would be more than 70dB, would you recommend the the topolgy, such as series or shunt or series and shunt combination ?
It is also difficult to find the component at the X band...
Thanks Zapper,
I calculated SFDR using the 2/3[IP3-MDS]. MDS was -101 dBm and IIP was -91dBm.
What is the reasonable dynamic range for RF signal?
Thanks in advance
Hello my friends.
I am working on link budget now, I am wondering what the reasonable value for spurious free dynamic range is ? During the simulation, it come out 5dB. Is that realistic value or need to be more elaborated ?
Thank in advance
Thank all guys for your time and good answers.
One more question, do I have to use schottky diode instead of IN4148 for AM detection while simulating on the MicroSim ?
Thank for your good information.
I agree with using Direct conversion instead of using single conversion, however, I was missioned to solve out AGC detector circuit.
One more question, do I have to use schottky diode to AM detection while simulating on the MicroSim ?
