pc booting
Nice programs, I have another question though, what about the booting options...
I tried to install xp on my pc but my disk was corrupted so didn't mange to do that i tried to boot it with floppy, to try resolve the problem but that just added another option and now when i turn on my...
russian component equivalent
Try to give a look here there are the distributors of National Semiconductors in italy, **broken link removed**
I looked in one of them h**p://www.futureelectronics.com/
FUTURE Electronics SRL
Galleria Ronzani 3/9

and i think...
mystery i don't think using only a diode is a good idea, 5 A is very much and even using a single transistor might not be safe depending on the voltage you want to stabilize. please provide some more info
details on the driver stage of a 3kva inverter
I'm continuing to give my answers to your first post:
24 to 48 V
hmm i'd prefer 48 volt in your case, because of the high power so you don't have to use very thick cables both inside and outside the inverter
for 3000VA you can have more than 65...
inverter designe
Hi richmon,
I've been working with inverters for the past two years now, installing and repairing them i have been trying to build one myself these last months but it's no easy job.
Before starting the design you should have sth things clear
The power!
From my experience...
when you have an IC with open collector output its output can switch between two states LOW (it can sink a specified amount of current) and
Hi-Z -> it acts like it wasn't connected at all, that means it has no effect on the output. If you are interested of having a logic HIGH state instead you...
I agree with barrybear, this is the most simple solution, just put that in paper. Forgot to put a capacitor at the output for stability, 100uF will do

I'm sorry PTC, forgive me but I didn't understand completely what you tried to say. Plase try to explain again. I suggest you to make two explanations:
1 lets say mechanical, on what kind of problem are you having in real life. 2 what is the electrical part problem.
Please give as much detail as...
PTC,
When I first read your post I had the same idea that aglet1000 gave you to use a comparator. Depending on what you are supplying with current you may use a transistor or a relay, so please be more specific about the load you want to switch ON and OFF with this circuit (i.e. is it d.c. or...
Hey everybody, remember there are also the variable resistors to help. They're not only used to do adjustments ( eg. adjust the volume ), but also to help in achieving difficult resistor values. You could use one of them (usually in series with another resistor) instead of putting several...
ergen,
I simulated the circuit, but you have to try it for real. You may also need to change the values of some components.
Another thing, the circuit should work well, but don't pretend great accuracy.
pm me to tell where should I send it, or wait until FM comes back
best regards
I think I got a solution, the good old R-C and a couple of comparators instead of 556. If you're interested I may send you a schematic
We'll see how it works

Personally, I've never felt comfortable with
zener diodes. I always try to use the 78xx
family when I want a stabilised voltage.
Although I don't know if this is the case,
because the voltage is relatively high and you'll have to check the '7805'(+5V DC) breakdown voltage
