Hey guys, I would like to buid an IOT type of power supply controlled by a microcontroller, that could output :
1. 3.3V (Current Controllable)
2. 5V (Current controllable)
3. A boost converter to achieve voltages upto 12V

Beagle bone is a good choice and it costs less than beagleboard xm with little features ripped off from xm. like arduino, this standalone board can be connected to "capes"(sheilds as in arduinos)or with xm as ethernet port is available with it.
chubby or raspberry pi too are good things to start...
