    orthogonal frequencies

but how would you define orthogonlity in ofdm ok agreed as you said that they dont interfere as they have 90 degrees phase shift but what if there are 1024 signals(subcarriers in ofdm)-like someone said- how would all of them have 90 degrees phase difference relative to each other

    Few questions about waves

Re: waves thanks alot guys tzushky it was a great reply and so was yours anand btw i asked my question in context of radio waves which i forgot to mention anyways it was very helpful thanks guys

    Few questions about waves

i have got few questions to ask about waves first do waves only interfere if they have 180 degrees phase shift or are inphase? like for example in the image below would these two waves not interfere? if no then why ? someone on this forum said that orthogonal signals dont interfere as they...

    a rather silly question

ok thanks for your help but i knew that already. actually i believe i couldnt convey my point well maybe thats why i didnt get the answer i was looking for anyways thanks alot for your help guys

    a rather silly question

by frequencies i meant modulated signals each having a different carrier frequency see in this free space there are so many signals but are we only concerned about the signals that are similar in frequency for interference. i want to know why doesnt a signal much distant in frequency spectrum is...

    a rather silly question

hey guys i have a rather silly question to ask but believe me i have tried to find its answer where possible but couldnt get a satsifying reply when we talk of radio communication, why are we only interested in frequencies that are almost similar? why dont we consider the frequencies higher...

Why don't signals of different frequencies interfere?

Re: a stupid question thanks for the info so my question becomes now why do we neglect it in communication of radio signals? why we always talk of only frequencies that are similar to the signal of our interest?

Why don't signals of different frequencies interfere?

hi guys i have a question. i might sound silly but this question has been bugging me alot and i couldnt find any explanation of it from any where; not even from my teacher we say that frequencies interfere. so we separate signals in frequency so that they dont interfere. what i want to ask is...
