unzip softload program manually
then run /your_unzip_dir/softload
you might get some other problems related to "sort command"
(didn't try SUSE10 yet)
however i recommend to install under RH7.2 and get it running there
then copy to newer linux version (no guarantee that this will work!)
suggestion:
use red hat 7.2
copy installation disks to your HD first (e.g. /home/user/cadence/cd1 & .../cd2)
install
configure configuration files (.cshrc or .bashrc ....)
configure licensing
now it should work fine on RH7.2
copy installation and configuration files to whatever linux...
suggestion:
install on Red Hat 7.2-7.3-8 or 9
then copy all files to your FC5 installation
this way you should avoid the problems with the softload script
BUT i don't guarantee that were will not be any other problems....
(I have problems with IC5033 on FC5, related to glibc libraries)
setup cadence on the linux
Tried to install it under Fedora Core 5.
Unfortunately, I get exactly the same error message...
It is running under Redhat 7.2 now... but not all my hardware is supported...
Am trying to copy it to FC5 now, but i'm having some troubles with C/C++ libraries.
Please...
