How to extract coupling matrix from S-parameter matrix

hi dear friend. I've added an IEEE paper here. It gives you the idea of how to find a coupling matrix for given S parameter matrix. I think , by using optimization methods , we can extract the coupling matrix from scattering matrix. I'm trying to write a MATLAB code for extracting coupling...

Problems in extracting coupling coefficient (or Qe) curve

Re: Problems in extracting coupling coefficient (or Qe) curv Hi dear friend , I'm trying to simulate coupling between two combline resonators. but I dont know how to do this by using HFSS10 and extract coupling diagrams via eigen mode solver of HFSS. can u help me please? regards

How to design a frequency comparator?

phase frequency comparator as a simple example : If u have two exactly similar signals an XOR them , then the output would be zero. u can use and extend this idea to make freq comparators.

Is there any relation between the input PFD frequency and the PLL jitter?

Re: PLL Jitter hi. the output phase noise of a PLL is related to input phase noise by this relation: No=20log(N)+Ni If u use higher PFDs ,then N=fo/PFD would be decreased and then output phase noise and so output time jitter would be decreased.

    BANDWIDTH & FREQUENCY

yes . If the input of a pll is for example f1 then the output would be fo=N*f1. but if the sinusoidal is in the input of a VCO the output would be FM modulated signal which u can find the Bandwidth by Carson's rule.

bad return loss in band pass filter

hi. yes the pass band shape is exactly the same as designed but there is a 10 dB return loss in pass band. how I can improve this?

bad return loss in band pass filter

hello dear friends. I've designed a bandpass filter in 140 MHz and 20MHz bandwidth. I've casscaded two 3th order eliptic filter for this purpose. the resulting insertion loss is about 3 dB in simulation , but Its about 12 dB practically. it's return loss is very bad in pass band (4~6 dB) and...
