Does anyone out there have any suggestion on the design of a low profile ceiling mount for LTE?
Antenna type etc. ( No higher than 40 mm and L x W < 100 x 100 mm^2)
Also the H plane pattern must be omni directional and across all bands.
Gain 0 - 3 dBi
All suggestions welcome
In the navigation tree of CST they have what they call field monitors same as in HFSS. Right click on this and choose E-field H field etc. Then on your 2D/3D results you may obtain the results.
Also for reflector antennas the mode of propagation is the principal TEM mode since these are...
Not sure what DGS stands for but figures are plotted from, "results" in the project manager tree. Right clicking on results will enable you to plot S-parameters as a function of frequency etc.
Well if you know how to design it in theory then it's a matter of learning the software.
You might want to ask yourself these key questions
1) Stability of transistor at hand ( Determine the stable input and output regions of operation: if unstable make it unconditionally stable for all...
I have tried with a waveport but I am not able to get the correct dimensions for the waveport that give 50 ohm for the given substrate height and TL width. Do share if you are able to?
Added after 2 minutes:
Yes it is a simple experiment and should tie in with theory. If you are able to...
Hi
Does anyone out there have a paper with analytical formula, experimental results etc which calculate the inter-elemental distance for a patch array to minimize adverse effects of mutual coupling between the elements. I have read on the internet that its approx 0.6 to 0.8 lambda but where is...
have just designed a single microstrip fed patch antenna in HFSS V11. I want to extend this to a a 2X2 array. Not sure how to design the corporate feed. I need step by step methodology any literature, an example file would also be useful if you got one. Here is my simulation file. Hope you can help
I agree with you regarding the above. However my question specifically is:
How do you determine the reactance at the point where the de-coupling/coupling caps and choke inductors are connected?
Because once you have calculated the reactance then the inductor/cap values are easily worked out.
Can anyone help with the below:
I know that the choke value is supposed to be 10X the magnitude of the reactance at the point where choke is going to be connected in LNA bias-circuitry. I have included a circuit:
a) Conjugately matched LNA amplifier
b) Conjugately matched LNA amplifier with...
Does anyone know how to compute the admittance matrix of a transistor in shunt with a resistor at it's collector. Basically I need to compute new K value after shunt resistor stabilization of transistor. The only information I have is [s] for transistor at operation frequency and also the shunt...
Need help with the following (your assitance is much appreciated)
1)The admittance matrix of a resistor in parallel with the output (collector) of a transistor
2) The admittance matrix of a resistor in parallel with the input (base)of a transistor
Note this is a normal bipolar NPN
Thank you this has been helpful! Are you saying that if I place a resistor in parallel with the collector of a transistor then the effective [Y] is simply the sum of [Y_transistor] + [Y_shunt resistor]?
Does anyone know how to compute/ calculate the "new" K value and "new" S-parameters after determining the collector transistor shunt resistance needed for transistor stabilization. I have failed to find any literature stating clearly how the calculation is done if one already knows the...
