How to set default template in OpenOffice.org 1.1.5?

Hi all, In OOo 1.1.5, how to set the default template? I see that in the OOo's help, it says the procedure is "file->templates->orgnize-> double click 'default' folder -> right click the template-> choose 'set as default template' command". But for me, there is no such a command called "set as...

Help! Can APS be used in AMS Designer?

Cadence AMS help document says that APS is supported. But now in ADE->Simulation->solver, there are only 2 options, spectre and ultrasim. I don't know what's wrong. Can anyone give me some advice? I'm using IC5141 USR6 + MMSIM 7.2 + IUS 8.2.

Can I use Inverter as level shifter? if no? why?

I think you can. But be careful about: 1) If it's a level-up shifter(say, 2.5V -> 3.3V), you need to increase the w/l of NMOS, and decrease the w/l of PMOS, in order to achieve an equalizatioin of rising time and falling time. 2) If it's a level-down shifter(say, 3.3V -> 2.5V), you need to tie...

Help! Can APS be used in AMS Designer?

Hi, As we all know, the analog simulator is typically spectre or ultrasim in Cadence AMS Designer. However, the ultrasim is precision-limited and spectre is much slower (well, spectre with turbo mode is indeed faster but not fast enough if having a large scale of circuit). So I want to know...

Cadence Verilog AMS Simulation 'GCC' Error

ncelab: *f,interr: internal error I'm not sure what's the exactly reason for this, just share my experience. suppose you have 2 lib files with the same name, say, libgcc.so.1, one is provided by linux system distribution, the other is provided by EDA tool you installed. So the path for them...

CADENCE SPECTRE HELP --- JITTER CALCUATION

spectre jitter peak to peak do pss and pnoise analysis. in pnoise setting page, select "jitter" for noise type. the result can be seen in direct plot -> main form.

need help :cadence simulation problem: .scs file ?

how to specify the model .scs cadence yes that's probably the reason. use "dos2unix" command to convert your model files.

    a problem with cscope

cscope has 2 options relating to this problem: eg, #>cscope -pfiles pfile -script script_file -pfiles means to plot a figure at start-ups. -script means load a script at start-ups. you may check if your cscope is launched with such options.

What happens if i use 100fF instead of 250fF parasitic capacitance at the input stage

Re: Help me..... in low freqency, smaller parasitic capacitance will not cause problem. but if you are dealing with RF circuit, impedance matching is crucial. so you should be very careful to adjust the capacitance.

Why output voltage stops changing at a low value in op-amp output stage?

Re: opAmp output stage well, that is a bit strange. 1. you could observe the triodes' states while sweeping v2. are they in amplifing region all the time? 2. maybe 10uA is too small. if R_out is 200ohm, and you want a +2V output, then for the npn-output-triode, I_ce = 10mA. assume beta =...

a question about bandgap ref and non-bandgap ref

I find that there are also many non-bandgap reference papers which achive fairly low temperature coefficient. So what is the main consideration for the industry to doubt non-bandgap structure? Does non-bandgap have universal weak points? Is it more deviation caused by PVT or worse psrr or...

a question about bandgap ref and non-bandgap ref

hello, any one know that the bandgap ref and non-bandgap ref, which is used more commonly in industry? if the bandgap is more common (this is my vague impression, i'm not sure indeed), are there any general drawbacks which are difficult to overcome for the non-bandgap ? thanks.
