Thanks Iuri for the links, i will probably ending up going that route, however i was hoping in doing this in the most gheto may possible :P , but that will probably be the way to go since i plan on expanding the rc cars fuctions, things such as... turning. Thank you all for the help!
Thank you once again for teh help,
After applying some math (during summer :| ) I indeed would want a smaller value capacitor, such as 15uf (Or Something) to solve the antenne problem, and similarly, a small value inductor.
But does a higer frequency mean less range? (how can i get maximum...
Thanks for the reply, well the diagram didn't literally mean 3 turns, but as it turns out a bought a package of toroid coils thinking they would work. Thankfully I haven't opened the yet so i can return them.
Would changing the value of the capacitor be of any use (so i can use a smaller value...
Mainly concerned about the radio-ish stuff on it 'cause i followed the data sheet of the IC pretty close.
Also, what voltage should i run the remote control at?
And, any particular level of inductance for the inductors?
And, instead of the "optional protective circuit" do i still need to...
So if i build on of these
**broken link removed**
and one of these
I should have a transmitter and a receiver.
could someone please elaborate how exactly the inductor is connected to the spark gap?
Thank you for your help
EDIT:: found simpler diagrams
Hey can anyone tell me if this will work as a very simple morse code transmiter?
Of course if not could someone help me?
And if it does whats the equation for how far ill be able to transmit?
One more thing, how can i recieve it?
Thanks for the help.
I have several questions about tank circuits and inductors.
1. How can i consistantly make an inductor other than buying one?
2. nvm aswered my own question
3. How do i make a reciever for the signal emited by a tank circuit? (do i use the same type of circuit but with an antenne?)
4. How would...
im sure this isnt the only one but there is a part called the DS2E-S-DC5V and what it is is a 2 Form C relay that requires a certain voltage and current to flow through it so it runs, What i would do is this
Well the reason i want to convert 6v to 3v is beacause for a relay in my circuit the max is 3v and the reason im using resistors is becase this is for a science project and im limited to resistors relays and capacitors which brings me again to my question of "whats the least amount of resistance...
Also with my design, if you know a place where you can always find 12v you could add a momentary switch to reset the relay, i would whip up another design in mspaint but im on a mobile device right now, im sure you can imagine it though
Well if you know how much current it gives out for that split second that it lights up you could get a 12v latching relay and wire it so that when the alarm goes off it flips the relay and turns on the light.
