please use filtered/regulated power supply or add a regulator circuit and connect to c4(please observe the polarity) and later connect your existing power supply unit.
yap,i agree w/ kral to use star grounding system to keep it intact and less prone from loose connection unlike the daisy chain grounding,because once you have a loose ground connection noise will be generated from your system.and @ the same time i agree w/ bws to use resistor or capacitor for...

@mayeewa,what don't you use full bridge full wave rectification and @ the same time you can replace 2n3055 by c1061?after the rectified volt.output you can use 4,7oouf/10v electrolytic filter capacitor as well as,on the final dc output you can put 470uf/10v to 1,000uf/10v...
