Providing your evaluation period has not expired, I believe there is a corrupt
licence check file. These files are usually burried somwhere outside of Ansoft folder
and could be tricky to find.
I will give you the advice you would not like to hear:
Reformat your hard drive and install it all...
Due to the reasons I can't understand, Ansoft stopped with student versions of their software years ago.
Instead they sell reasonably cheap licences to Universities.
There is no student version available any more, sorry.

You can run MoM simulation on HFSS. This functionality has been added since version 12, I think. I am positive it is included in current version ( 13).
I presume you have the older version. You need to see what is cheaper, to upgrade your version or get the license for Designer. By the way...

Why do you need ansoft desiger for wavequide slot antenna? Ansoft designer is a planar EM simulator, not realy a 3-D tool.
I have seen quite a few tutorials for HFSS, which you have mentioned and I presume you have access to it, but nothing what you need.
Maybe there is a tutorial for another 3D...

I do not know which version of Hfss are you using, but all the details should be in the
license.dat file, located in your admin folder.
Generally speaking, HFSS is very memory hungry, part of the reason is that it is a finite element method program resulting in huge ( but sparse) matrices...
