    3-phase BLDC motor resolver problem

It seems that I cannot edit the post, so I will elaborate what I mean by the calibration algorithm. We just created another basic logic that applies SVPWM vectors one by one and log the angle data and average the offset angle for at least one full rotation.

    3-phase BLDC motor resolver problem

Hi, I am trying to drive a 3-phase BLDC motor with FOC and have some questions about obtaining resolver offset angle. In the driver I used ABC notation for phases and FOC accepts A phase as 0 angle electrical. The motor cabling uses UVW notation. The motor has 5 pole-pairs. There is already a...

Why is boost convert mostly used for PFC?

Hi, I was wondering why boost converter is mostly used for PFC applications? I have a couple of ideas myself, and I wanted to confirm these with expert opinions. I have just compared buck and boost, these two being the most simple form of SMPS. I don't know if any other topology is used in PFC...

    [SOLVED] Simplorer PWM Problem

It was in plain sight all along. In transient parameters I should have set the minimum time step marginally smaller than the period. Once I have done that, problem went away. I feel stupid. :)

    [SOLVED] Simplorer PWM Problem

Hi, I'm new to Simplorer but I heard it's supposed to be a very good simulation program, so I wanted to give it a try. I'm trying to generate a sinusoidal pwm but I had a problem at the very beginning. When I try to generate a high frequency triangular carrier waveform, program acts weird and...
