Iwould like to ask what are the different in REFLECTIVE TYPE, TRANSFLECTIVE TYPE AND TRANSMISSIVE TYPE? What is their avanteges and disavantages?

HardDisk: 160GB SATA HardDisk
G33 Chipset
I can't install Red Hat 9.0 in my computer, Is RedHat 9.0 not support SATA HardDisk?
Also, What can I do If I want to install Linux in SATA HardDisk?

Is it means that the IC---LM311(Voltage comparator) is a kind of Schmitt trigger? Also I would like to ask what is the meaning of hysteresis? I know this term in Physics but why the Schmitt trigger has hysteresis?
