How to increase the output impedance in a common drain buffer?

Re: Common drain buffer Hmm, I think I didn't quite understand how this buffer works. When I read about it in electronics books, I see 2 (there are more, but usually I see these two) basic topologies. 1) MOSFET + resistance : Here we start with a bias current Ids. Now if that bias current Ids...

How to increase the output impedance in a common drain buffer?

Hi, I want to use a common drain MOSFET acting as a buffer. This circuit has a very high input impedance and a low output impedance. Attached you can see the circuit, and is working like it should be working. But how can I make the output impedance to be 50Ohm? Thanks

Questions about CMOS cross-coupled crystal oscillator

Can anyone answer these questions? - R en C for the drain current sources are chosen to filter out the 5MHz swing => ? - Cs : There is a max limit on the capacitor set by the relaxation mode and min limit set by the necessity to have negative resistance at 35MHz. => how can I simulate the...

Questions about CMOS cross-coupled crystal oscillator

Hi, I'm trying to design a cross-coupled oscillator with a crystal attached to it with resonance freq of 5MHz. I used the papers attached and the following threads: But I still have a few questions: When I simulate the attached circuit I get a stable output oscillation (f = 5.05MHz) after...
