Can I use FPGA GCLK pin as a GPIO pin ?

Re: GCLK in FPGA no... GCLK is global clock that is used to tick every (first in chain) flip flops.

Which is better board designing or fpga designing?

Re: CAREER DECESION i agree GK... board design is the area where there are less skilled people... i would say it requires thorough understanding of basic electrical engineering rather developing skill... the demand for board designers are in huge but ppl donot know... i know ppl closing the...

Difference b/w Decoupling and bypass capacitors

A same cap is called different by different communities. in AC terminology the cap actually conducts high freq noises. thus the name bypass in DC terminilogy the cap keeps the DC voltages, applied to its terminals intact, thus the name decoupling cap.

look for cap model please help me!

spicap from avx and kspice from kemet give you the impedance plot of ur cap. from that u can calculate the lumped model (C+ESL+ESR) of the cap. but note that ESR is frequency dependent component and if u want take the peak ESR. to calculate the distributed model of a cap u can use the paper by...

How to reduce ground loop noise in a PCB layout?

Re: ground loop noise have atleast one solid plane to reference the signals. keep it closer to pwr plane(if it were gnd) add decaps wherever u think noise would appear...(this is just a brute force method actually u ll have to calculate the decap vaule and decide the placement after many...

    bread board frequency limit

is that 700mhz center freq with 2Meg bw??? i had faced issues with just 1MHz. but i think u can tweak it upto 10MHz by using wire pairs instead of a single wire to connect. more than 10Mhz ofcourse stray capacitance matters and also the connection in bread board is through small metal cans that...

What is the difference between SPICE and Pspice simulation?

difference between lt spice and pspice SPICE is a simulation core that has been incorporated into many commercial tools with different flavors.. there exist lots of spice like PSPICE, LTSPICE, MDSPICE and HSPICE

What does a fab note mean?

Re: what is a fab note? Fabnote: it is a document given to the fab shop along with the deliverables to them, gerbers. if u have some impedance spec, say that in fab note. what all u want say the fab shop to take care, put those in to a neat doc file and that is fab note. "Do i need to take...

LT Spice - How to simulate a repetitive signal

u r going to add up voltages is'nt it? so place in series... when u place in parallel currents will add up.... adding voltages sources in parallel needs u to specify source resistance... i m not able to view to pic u have loaded...

LT Spice - How to simulate a repetitive signal

instead of using pwl, can u try adding the voltages of pulse generators, appropriately setting voltages and time and connecting them in series...but u ll mess up ur schematic sheet.

What were your 3 biggest mistakes and frustrations in PCB design?

Re: PCB design >>What was your biggest 3 mistakes designing and why? every thing u do for today's technology is a mistake when u look at it with tomorrow's knowledge. biggest mistake is not looking at tomorrow :-) >>most popular software that you use and why it is not popular because i used...
