You can try to search on the following
Sim com: SIM340, SIM300...
Wavecom (they acquired Sony Ericson's M2M as well): GR47/48, GM47/48
Siemens: MC55...

Well, as you mentioned, for the USB, there should be a HOST (like PC).
And on the Cell Phone, there may be two types of USB functions, one is the RS232 conversion, and the other is Mass Storage.
So, if you want to do so, better use a chip that can do as a HOST function. Many ARM chip could do...
Re: RS-232 in 30 meter
it is odd that you have problem...
Please advice if you are connecting with computer, or embedded system... As for the latter one, there may have problem as the level is lower (TTL), especially if you are using high baudrate...
Re: 2 UDP connections
Yes, you can.
Since MC35i is only a means for the communication, what you need is to establish two socket on your microcontroller....
The only limitation is the communication speed, which will be shared, and also the resource on your microcontroller, as each socket may...
nRF24AP1 is quite a new one, and may not easy to find support by all means..
Maybe you can consider nRF24L01, which is cheaper...
TI has another solution CC24xx and CC25xx, which is also good enough...
Re: i need projects on wireless sensor network plz help !!!
Have you find it on google ...
You can easily find many projects, many are open source...
BTnode is one of hot Wireless Sensor Network, and is open source, in both HW and SW...

modem siemens tcp udp
please note that either Siemens or Wavecom, are only a wireless modem... Though there is some model that could have embedded with TCP/IP stack, it still a modem...
There is two ways to use the modem, one is just doing as a fixed-line modem (PSTN), like the old Hayes...
Re: EDGE vs GPRS
I think you better define what kind of Video Broadcasting first, I meant the picture size/quality...
EDGE and GPRS is just a means for communication, it has no limitation how you use it, but the datarate...
So, if you want to do a small size Video Broadcasting, I think it is...
Re: mp3 encoder
VBR is Variable Bit Rate.
Bitrate in MP3 is meant, number of bit used to encode the audio...
For more information, you visit:
http://www.nathansheldon.com/xp-80/what_is_VBR.html
To check if your MP3 is VBR, most MP3 player on PC could show you, by just viewing the files...
Yes, I think you could use DTMF in the FM communication.
TI's MSP430 has an AppNote on the generation and detection of the DTMF with MSP430:

You can also ask for free sample from TI's website...
Most MP3 player are using NAND flash, mainly Samsung's or Hynix's, including some iPOD. This is classified as Flash MP3 player
Macrodriver and 1.8" HDD are used in larger MP3 player, larger in both size and capacity.. And they are named HDD MP3 player.
The advanced of Flash MP3 player is that...
gprs serial ppp ip tcp
Just wondering what kind of TCP/IP data you want to be.
The reason that asking is that, you can do this either with Ethernet or Modem (both traditional modem or GPRS modem).
For the ethernet one, you may need a MCU, connecting to a LAN controller, such as Realtek's...
No, you cannot use W3150A with GPRS modem. There is both hardware and software reason.
For hardware, W3150A is interfacing with Ethernet Phy only, or simply ethernet/LAN. However, for the GPRS, most of them are serial interfacing.
For software, W3150A can do ethernet packet, for LAN...
Re: Wire less Modem
Yes, you are right, you need to clarify what is wireless modem.
A GSM module is most likely a real wireless modem, which can operate with your MCU or Computer through UART interface, and connected to remote system as a modem, without cabling, ie, wireless modem. However...
