can anyone link me an isolation transformer that i can use with my 465B techtronix oscilloscope for when i am testing smps and also testing waveforms on tvs.
Would prefer to buy one here in uk because of shipping..Not sure what i need to go with my scope but any help appreciated .:D
Well i removed the said cap and it was ok off the board ,measured it with analogue meter set to x10k and there was no reading ...so i guess you cannot rely on testing smd stuff on board.
Not sure what to do now as there is no short on the board :cry: could it be a faulty pwm ic ? could i get...

Funny thing is it worked and then when i powered off and re started pc the fans spun even on psu but it did not boot pc,so i powered down again and restarted pc and it booted...

I have just got mine from jestine and it is very useful indeed..It will tell you if the transformer is shorted or not..sorry don't agree with the poster who says not to bother.
