just opamp to amplifier the EEG signal ( very small around 50uV ) . The EEG frequency range is 5-40Hz , you must use bandpass filter with order 6th or 8th to reduce 50Hz or 60Hz noise and driff .
The problem depend on location of transmit point and receive point . If you can arrange to make transmit coil and receive coil on same plane , you can using the frequency about 10MHz and with the distance 5 inch you need about 50W at transmitter to get 5W at receiver coil

Normally , Video signal is transmitted by AM at the frequency above 40MHz . With AM modulation, bandwith is around 4.5-6.5Mhz depend on system( PAL, NTSC, SECAM) . If you want to transmit by FM , the bandwith much bigger.
With same number of bits, floating point give a better accuracy compare with fixed point. For example 0.000000000345678 need more bits to store than 0.345678e-9.
