I designed a prob fed microstrip patch antenna and used Lumped port but I dont know which direction will I draw the integration line for the port? When I changed the direction (x or y axis) the results were change. could anybody help me?

I have a question for armant and all of you. How can we find the T parameter (height of the coaxial)?It changes the resonant frequency, I tried lots of times. Is there any formulas or calculations for T?

I assigned Pef e to the outer face of the probe, with pin, without pin, only the face of pin, the results arent very different. Now I get it from the answers, I must assigne Pef e to the outer face...
I have to design a triangular patch atenna by HFSS but I cant find how I can draw a triangle! I tried to do this from Draw/Regular Polygon and chose segments as 3, yes there was a triangle, but I couldnt change any of its specifications and position parameters.
Could anyone help me?
I would like to ask a question. How do you choose the radius of probe inner/ outer?
I see for big patches (cm dimensions) 0.7/1.6 mm but what about small antenna patches in mm dimensions? It is too big for them.

I saw some simulation files and I guess they used the probe radius as half of the substrate thickness, I try like that I have better results but not the best. May be the trial and error way can help you.
I think for the first error, you must cut off a piece of ground for the probe. The cutoff part's dimension is same as the probe (not the pin)
For the second error, you will draw another circle under the probe with the same radius then you will assign a waveport on this circle.

I would like to ask anotherquestion. How can we choose simulation parameters for any different type antennas?For example, while adding sweep which frequencies we can use for 2.4 GHz antennas?
I am studing a design about microstrip antenna. If it finishes, I will send it with explanations.
But now I have another problem. When I choose only one face of any object, I cant change its properties, because "Properties..." isnt active. Is there anybody who can tell how I can change?
I found some examples on the net and I try to do them in HFSS by myself. It helps me a lot while learning and practising the software. I can advise you to do like that.
