Re: mixers
thanks all..
in continuation to the above question...
what kind of model can be used in designing passive mixers..i have curtice cubic model for our foundary..but i wanna ask..whether the same model can be used for both active and passive mixers or some parameters of the model...
hi all..
any body having clue about non-linear modeling of MESFET.
wanna know how to model a MESFET to work in both linear and saturation region i.e. to model the MESFET for Vg=-4(deep bias) to 1V and Vd=0 to 8V.
hi all..
can anybody help me with MESFET switches..i.e. series/shunt configuration, its equivalent ckt. in the ON/OFF mode etc.
any kind of literature will be of use to me..
thanks
Re: s-parameters
hi manju..
i was already having that literature..was not quite helpful to me..
thanks nyways..
can u help me with modeling of MESFET as a switch...i have posted a msg related to this earlier...
Re: s-parameters
thanks manju...
one can have the model from s-parameters at various bias points...extrinsic are extracted first and then the y matrix of intrinsic is obtained...
thanks..the info was quite helpful..
Re: s-parameters
thanks for relying..
so..that means..to build a nonlinear model for some device say HEMT..i need large signal S-parameter measurements..since this large signal model can be used in power amplifier design...
hi khouly..
thanks for the response..
lets suppose...i have a FET model to be used to design an amplifier in ADS...so can i see the 1 db compression point using some kind of plot in ADS..
hi radiohead..
thanks for replying..
well...mine is a CPW configuration..packaging n all is a later issue..
the basic thing is to detemine the equivalent ckt elements of a MESFET when used as a switch..in that i have a problem in determining the extrinsic resistance values (Rs, Rg and Rd...
